It's not a revolutionary multiplayer (that it could have been) but it feels good to play and there's enough variety in there to keep you interested. So where does Battlefield make up for its SP disappointment? Well, the multiplayer is excellent. If you want to buy Battlefield 3 for offline play then don't waste your time. It's also a long campaign (over 5 hours). It's stunning to look at but disappointing as far as gaming goes. Yes you do have to take the controls sometimes but for the most part you're a spectator to a cinematic marvel.
Unfortunately, during the single player campaign you'll spend most of your time watching and very little time interacting. Most gamers don't buy Battlefield games to enjoy the Single Player but you can't dismiss this element of the game. Now the game is here its back to reality. Tank battles and urban fighting that made you feel like you were in a film. Frostbite 2 offered the most amazingly cinematic graphics that would make you drool for hours. Since those early screenshots of Battlefield 3, and the enticing Frostbite video footage from E3, we knew we'd have a real contender for Call of Duty this year. Hence, to avoid any issue from playing Steam version of Battlefield 3, it is necessary to remove Battlefield 3 files that were previously installed under Origin Games when you purchased Battlefield 3 and installed it on Origin.After weeks of anticipation and endless COD vs Battlefield discussions we finally get to see how good Battlefield 3 really is. Steam version has replaced the previous Origin version of BF3īut the files of Origin version of BF3 still exist (only the executable is replaced in Origin) which can cause conflicting issues resulting in errors such as showing Waiting for game to exit (when attempting to join any server) as the Battlelog will try to launch BF3 from Origin, which in fact has been replaced by the Steam version. Once you have installed Steam Version of Battlefield 3, your Origin Version of Battlefield 3 will no longer exist and be replaced with Steam version (which means Origin version will no longer be available/playable), since Origin will read the Steam files of the game instead of previously installed Origin version of Battlefield 3.
